Key Responsibilities

Project Based Responsibility

• Act as the direct support for the Program Manager on all technical matters.
• Compilation and management of the Engineering Management Plan Activities.
• Development of the Product Strategy.
• Integration of all technical effort on the project.
• Baseline Management culminating in the Development Roadmap.
• Detail Planning of the project with all stakeholders through the creation of the WBS and SOW’s. for the complete program as well as per sub project.
• Manages the system engineering effort to capture the requirements and manage a requirements compliance register, Compilation of technical specification and review with client.
• Determine the resource requirements and manage the development budget.
• Chairing the local technical committees, support the Customer Technical Committee and Program Meetings.
• Define the technology insertion roadmap for the program.
• Support Supplier Selection - RFQ's. Material availability. Long lead items. Export control item identification and risks.
• Mass and Cost model control.
• Support the ILS design process and the Industrialization Process.

Special Tasks

• Perform Protection Consultation
• Support the establishment of the survival design group
• Perform specific training on Blast Simulation

Functional Role

• Prepare and maintain the project work breakdown structure.
• Identify project resource requirements.
• Ensure sound Baseline Management
• Hold Local Technical Meetings (Chairman) and Customer Technical Meetings (Deputy Chairman)
• Plan and maintain the project schedule.
• Create the project development budget and manage the budget within approvals.
• Identify and manage stakeholders
• Identify and manage project technical risks.
• Hold regular project progress and performance reviews.
• Provide monthly technical performance report on the project. 
• Ensure delivery and acceptance of completed deliverables by the customer.
• Identify and manage any changes to the configuration through the sound application of the Configuration Management Plan.

Experience and Education

• Master’s Degree level in Technical or Engineering
• Engineering Management Professional
• Defense vehicle manufacturing / engineering - 20 YEARS
• Project Management of complex equipment projects
• Management of teams
