Manager Project Portfolio Mgmt. and PMO

Key accountabilities:

Oversight:

  • Support the delivery of the on-going Digital Transformation program (with SAP S/4 as its digital core)
  • Review existing governance framework, contribute to improvements are required
  • Monitor program progress, identify risks, and prepare updates for exec stakeholders 

Value Realization & Change Management:

  • Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and expectations.
  • Identify, define, and document opportunities for value creation, support the creation of business cases, and define approach for value tracking incl. metrics.
  • Track value realization and define actions to improve change adoption.

PMO Management:

  • Lead and support the PMO team to ensure project delivery excellence.
  • Establish and uphold project management standards and best practices.
  • Develop governance frameworks to ensure compliance with organizational policies.
  • Present regular reports to senior management on program/ portfolio status and metrics.

Portfolio Management:

  • Detail the portfolio management approach for Digital & IT based on the overall framework and tools for project portfolio management for the Group.
  • Implement portfolio governance standards and project selection criteria.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure portfolio alignment with strategic goals.
  • Identify and mitigate risks within the Digital & IT portfolio.

Experience:

  • 12+ years of experience in relevant roles (project or program manager, head of PMO)
  • Proven experience in the successful delivery of large and complex transformation projects
  • Ideally experience in end-to-end delivery of programs covering multiple projects
  • Experience in implementing demand management, project portfolio management and development of Digital & IT strategies
  • Background in management or technology consulting is welcome

 Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Informatics, other STEM disciplines, or Business
  • Master’s degree is a plus

Key skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of Project Management best practices, PMP certification is a plus.
  • Ability to structure complex initiatives and to link deliverables to business outcomes
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and communication skills
  • Solid knowledge of IT service management frameworks, ITIL certification is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of SAP ERP and other enterprise applications
