Job Summary: The Operation Planning Specialist will play a critical role in the aviation industry by ensuring the efficient and effective planning of operational processes. With 10 years of experience, this position requires a deep understanding of aviation operations, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning. The specialist will collaborate with various teams to optimize scheduling, resource allocation, and operational efficiency while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Planning: Develop and implement operational plans and schedules to meet organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Analyze data to optimize flight schedules, crew assignments, and equipment utilization.

• Data Analysis: Utilize advanced analytical skills to interpret operational data and trends, providing actionable insights to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to FAA regulations and other relevant industry standards. Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments in operations.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with flight operations, maintenance, and safety teams to coordinate schedules, resources, and communications. Facilitate meetings to address operational challenges and opportunities.

• Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess operational efficiency. Prepare reports and presentations for management on operational performance and improvement initiatives.

• Crisis Management: Develop and implement contingency plans to address operational disruptions, including weather-related issues, technical failures, and other emergencies.

• Training and Development: Mentor and train junior staff in operational planning processes and tools, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

• Project Management: Lead or participate in special projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Operations Management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in operational planning within the aviation industry.
• Strong understanding of FAA regulations and aviation industry standards.
• Proficient in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, or specialized aviation software).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
• Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Certification in operations planning or a related field is a plus.
