Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the integration of UAS components, subsystems, and payloads, coordinating activities with design engineers, software developers, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
- Plan and execute comprehensive testing and validation procedures for integrated UAS systems, including functional testing, performance testing, and flight testing, to verify system functionality and compliance with specifications.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, anomalies, and performance discrepancies encountered during integration and testing activities, employing troubleshooting techniques and root cause analysis to implement effective solutions.
- Prepare detailed documentation, reports, and technical specifications on integration and testing activities, documenting test results, observations, and recommendations for further analysis and improvement.
- Perform inventory actions, UAS equipment labelling, packaging, preservation, handling and stores actions according to standard facility policies and procedures
- Perform UAS maintenance activities in order to ensure that all UAS scheduled and on-demand maintenance activities are performed on schedule
- Implement all OEM special technical manual and instructions correctly
- Take part in any internal and external quality assurance audits that might take place in UAS facility context
Education & Experience:
- Associate degree or technical certification in Aerospace Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in integration and testing roles, with demonstrated expertise in UAS or aerospace systems integration.
- Proficiency in UAS systems, components, and subsystems, including avionics, propulsion, payloads, and communication systems.
- Strong hands-on experience with integration tools, equipment, and testing methodologies, such as bench testing, ground testing, and flight testing.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols for UAS operations, including FAA regulations and airspace restrictions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
