Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Continuity Manage to join our team under the Trading & Mission Support Cluster. As a key member of our International Business operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless continuity of critical operations, mitigating risks, and ensuring the stability of our business processes across global markets.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide Operations Readiness surety for nominated International project deliveries.
- Ensure all group entities have capability to produce contracted product “On Time & in Full”.
- Working closely with the Operational Leadership of each Entity, assess the Risks of Production capability and capacity (machine, manpower, production planning).
- Manage the Risk Management and Assurance activities throughout the project life cycle and conduct appropriate consultation and mitigation planning with stakeholders.
- Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to delivery readiness and report regularly, incusing any cost-saving initiatives.
- Perform Manufacturing or Design/Product Readiness review and work with the entities to develop an Program Execution Plan.
- Responsible to identify Risk and Opportunities related to the operational execution of awarded contracts to each Entity and manage the closure or realization of such.
- Ensure committed delivery schedule are maintained or modified realistically in a controlled manner upon T0 triggering.
- Scrutinize the Entity's global EUC and Export Control needs, making sure documentation in place 1 months before ex-works shipment.
- Observe all legal and safety obligations of the organization.
Supporting Accountabilities
- Ensure all group entities have capability to produce contracted product on time don’t have capacity conflict and will adhere to Ex-Works Delivery enabling Logistic Consolidation to end user, saving Group Logistic costs and failed deliveries.
- Develop and manage readiness plans and identifying areas for cost reduction. Prepare cost-benefit analyses to support financial decision-making.
- Work with Logistic manager to ensure readiness for shipment: Packing List, Export Documentation.
- Understand group Entities and build plans utilizing best for Edge and the program.
- Build and maintain relationships with entities, suppliers and service providers.
- Seek opportunities as they present to continuously assess and improve our operational processes and systems to improve delivery readiness.
- Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practices (in other areas, teams, companies, etc.) to solve problems creatively and effectively.
- Communicate complex information. 'Complex' information could include sensitive information or information that is difficult to communicate because of its content or its audience
- To advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Experience & Education Qualifications:
- Minimum 15 years in an Aerospace & Defense industry, with 5 years in a lead role within a large corporation, managing deliveries to an OEM Prime or Tier 1.
- Demonstrable experience of Industry and global best practice of topics relating to readiness and delivery performance.
- Drumbeat production to an Aerospace & Defense OEM/Tier 1 Contract.
- Experience in UAE or Middle East is desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related subject.
- Formal qualifications in Audit, Quality, Lean etc will be highly regarded
Key Skills
- Technical, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and product experience.
- Substantial knowledge of business integration systems and processes to enable change management activities.
- Manage effective communication, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication.
- High level problem solving and analytical skills.
- High level of operational project, risk management and operational readiness skills, to oversee the operationalization of complex scope of works relevant to a Defense.
- Extensive working knowledge of the Aerospace & Defense goods industry, shipment of sensitive & hazardous items.
- Proficiency in the English language.
