About the Opportunity

FADA is seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer to design, build, and operate the server-side foundation of a next-generation platform. This role is responsible for delivering reliable, scalable, and secure backend services that power applications, integrations, and mission-critical workflows.
The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Python backend development, API design, database engineering, cloud-native architectures, and DevOps practices, with experience building production-grade systems from development through deployment and optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and microservices using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Design, build, and support REST and GraphQL APIs with strong documentation, versioning, and security practices.
• Design and optimize relational and NoSQL databases, including schema design, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Build scalable cloud-native applications using microservices, event-driven architectures, containers, and messaging systems.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and secure access controls.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code, container orchestration, and monitoring solutions.
• Integrate third-party systems, APIs, and data feeds while ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Design and support data ingestion and processing pipelines.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, data scientists, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Implement automated testing, code quality standards, and secure development practices.
• Troubleshoot performance, scalability, security, and integration issues across environments.
• Contribute to engineering standards, documentation, and architecture best practices.

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience developing production backend applications and services.
• Strong expertise in Python, including FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Experience designing and developing REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and/or MySQL, including database design and optimization.
• Experience with MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, or similar technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP services.
• Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS/SNS, or other messaging platforms.
• Strong testing, CI/CD, Git, Linux, and collaborative development experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing large-scale microservice and distributed system architectures.
• Advanced Python development, asynchronous programming, and high-volume data processing.
• Knowledge of SQLAlchemy, Django ORM, Pydantic, or related data-access frameworks.
• Experience with Go, Node.js, or Java environments.
• Familiarity with API gateways, service mesh technologies, and reverse proxies.
• Experience with Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, or other workflow orchestration tools.
• Strong understanding of caching, performance optimization, and observability platforms.
• Experience with Terraform, Pulumi, Helm, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD.
• Knowledge of backend security best practices, secrets management, and secure SDLC.
• Experience with serverless architectures and cloud-native event-driven systems.
• Ability to mentor team members and contribute to architecture and engineering governance.
