Senior Finance Manager - FADA

Role Purpose

The Senior Finance Manager will lead all financial planning, control, and reporting activities for FADA, a strategic space-focused entity under EDGE’s Space & Cyber Technologies Cluster. The role is instrumental in driving financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and governance while ensuring compliance with EDGE Group policies and UAE regulatory frameworks. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in project-based finance, ideally within aerospace, defense, or high-tech environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, long-term financial planning, and ROI/sensitivity analyses.
• Oversee financial performance management, including dashboards, KPIs, and variance analysis.
• Drive zero-based budgeting and implement cost-saving initiatives while mitigating financial risks.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation in compliance with IFRS.
• Ensure adherence to UAE regulations and EDGE Group financial governance frameworks.
• Coordinate and manage internal and external audit processes, ensuring timely and clean audit outcomes.
• Lead financial oversight for CAPEX-intensive projects, R&D initiatives, and key space programs.
• Monitor project costs, analyze variances, and proactively issue risk alerts with mitigation plans.
• Develop and enforce cost control frameworks and tracking tools across programs.
• Collaborate with program and engineering teams to align budgets with project timelines and milestones.
• Provide financial analysis and decision support for commercial, investment, and pricing strategies.
• Review and validate business cases, investment models, and margin analysis.
• Engage with operational leaders to drive financial awareness, discipline, and process improvement.
• Standardize and enhance internal financial controls, policies, and procedures for compliance and scalability.
• Oversee finance systems integration with EDGE platforms and drive continuous system improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Procurement, Programs) to enhance financial workflows.

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, with 3–5 years in a leadership capacity.
• Industry experience in aerospace, defense, high-tech, or manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of government/semi-government finance practices in the UAE is a strong advantage.
• Expertise in SAP ERP systems, Excel, and advanced financial modeling is essential.
