Senior Satellite Operator

FADA is seeking an experienced Senior Satellite Operations Engineer to join our satellite operations team. The candidate will be responsible for the commanding, controlling and maintaining the health of our satellites on orbit. This role requires deep hands-on experience in satellite operations and a background in Earth Observation missions. The successful candidate will lead daily pass operations, drive anomaly resolution and support the junior operations team.
Responsibilities
• Lead satellite operations by executing mission plans, monitoring satellite health across LEOP, routine, contingency and critical mission phases.
• Coordinate with mission ground segment team to deliver accurate planning, reliable pass execution and successful data acquisition.
• Develop, validate and maintain operational procedures for System Validation Tests (SVTs) and mission operations.
• Produce and maintain mission documentation including operations plans, CONOPS and operations manual.
• Participate in mission review cycles such as PDR, CDR, ORR by providing operational insight, identifying risks and proposing mitigations.
• Support readiness campaigns, rehearsals, commissioning phases and anomaly investigations.
• Participate in occasional 24/7 shift coverage during critical mission phases and contribute to the team’s on call rotation.
Must have skills
• 5+ years of experience working on LEO missions with direct involvement in real time operations across various mission phases.
• Strong familiarity with mission control system operations including telemetry handling, command execution and mission planning.
• Demonstrated ability to design operational concepts for multi mission environments.
• Strong working knowledge of CCSDS standards including frame, telemetry packet and  telecommand formats.
• Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, operational discipline, decision making ability in time critical environments.
Good to have Skills
• Understanding of orbital mechanics, flight dynamics principles, operational constraints associated with LEO missions.
• Experience working with Earth Observation missions with an understanding of payload operations, data acquisition constraints, tasking workflows and data processing.
