Job Overview
A PMO Project Specialist (Integration, Engineering Background) in the Defense Sector oversees the alignment, testing, and deployment of complex military systems, hardware/software interfaces, and multi-domain defense platforms. Operating in a highly regulated and high-security environment, this specialist bridges the gap between engineering execution and institutional compliance (e.g., military standards, governmental contracting regulations, and strict security protocol).
Key Accountabilities
- Support the planning, scheduling, tracking, and execution of defense projects, ensuring alignment with approved project milestones, timelines, and delivery objectives.
- Maintain project schedules, action trackers, risk registers, and progress reports to support effective project governance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, suppliers, and end users to understand system requirements, resolve technical challenges, and support successful implementation.
- Support system installation activities and monitor progress to ensure compliance with approved technical requirements and project timelines.
- Participate in the preparation, coordination, and execution of Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), Test Readiness Reviews (TRR), and other qualification or validation activities.
- Review test plans, procedures, and technical documentation to ensure readiness for testing activities.
- Ensure all project documentation, reporting, and technical information comply with organizational security policies, defense regulations, and confidentiality requirements.
- Collaborate closely with end user and internal stakeholders to understand technical requirement and specification. Regular meeting with suppliers, and keep up to date with installation status
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience within the defense industry.
- Experience participating in FAT, SAT, TRR, or similar acceptance and qualification processes.
- Experience coordinating with suppliers, contractors, engineering teams, and end users on technical projects.
- Strong knowledge of system installation in Helicopters
Skills
- Knowledge of project management methodologies, PMO practices, and project reporting.
- Ability to review and interpret technical documentation, specifications, and engineering deliverables.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong supplier relationship, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
