FADA is seeking a Senior Ground Segment Engineer to lead the design, integration and operation of the ground segment. The role defines the architecture for mission control, ground stations, networks and data pipelines, ensuring reliable command, telemetry and mission data delivery across all phases of LEO missions.

Responsibilities: Define the end to end ground segment architecture covering mission control, flight dynamics, data processing, network infrastructure and ground station systems. Manage interfaces across mission planning, TT&C, data archiving and dissemination. Support flight dynamics including orbit determination, manoeuvre planning and conjunction assessment. Manage ground station infrastructure including antennas, RF chains, modems and network equipment. Define secure data handling practices including command authentication, key management, encryption and network segmentation. Establish data workflows for imagery reception, preprocessing, quality control, archiving and delivery. Support development of CONOPS, ICDs, test procedures, configuration baselines and risk registers. Investigate and resolve issues across the full ground segment chain.

Must have: Minimum 5 years of experience in ground segment engineering for LEO missions or similar operational space systems. Strong understanding of mission control systems, telemetry handling, command routing and real time operations. Experience with ground station networks, RF systems, modems and antennas. Proven ability to deliver ground segment capabilities in multi mission or rapidly evolving environments. Experience supporting validation campaigns, rehearsals and anomaly resolution. Hands on experience with mission control platforms such as YAMCS, HIFLY, CCS5 or similar.

Desired: Strong understanding of secure network design including segmentation, firewalls, VPNs and monitoring. Familiarity with CCSDS and ECSS standards for ground systems and mission operations. Experience with automation frameworks, configuration management and monitoring tools. Strong analytical thinking, operational discipline and problem solving in time critical environments.
