About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced 3D Modeller to support the development of advanced 3D models across a diverse range of projects. This role combines hands-on modelling responsibilities with the leadership of a small team of CAD Draftsmen, contributing to the creation of digital representations of mechanical assemblies, modular structures, buildings, infrastructure, and large-scale environments. The successful candidate will have strong experience in laser scanning, point-cloud processing, BIM modelling, and rendering, with the ability to convert concepts and real-world assets into accurate, high-quality digital models.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 3D models for mechanical components, structures, buildings, and infrastructure assets.
- Capture and process indoor and outdoor laser scan data.
- Convert point-cloud data into accurate vector-based models.
- Create, maintain, and update BIM models.
- Produce high-quality rendered visualizations and presentations.
- Ensure proper georeferencing and spatial accuracy of digital models.
- Collaborate with technical experts and project stakeholders to deliver design solutions.
- Lead, mentor, and support a small team of CAD Draftsmen.
- Apply advanced CAD modelling techniques to meet project requirements.
- Support the continuous development of digital twin and 3D modelling capabilities.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar 3D Modelling, BIM, or Digital Engineering role.
- Proven experience with 3D laser scanning, point-cloud data processing, and model development.
- Strong ability to translate concepts into detailed 3D mechanical and architectural designs.
- Experience producing photorealistic renderings.
- Proficiency with advanced CAD modelling tools and workflows.
- Good understanding of BIM principles and model management.
- Experience converting point-cloud data into vector-based models.
- Knowledge of georeferencing and spatial data integration.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD 3D, Fusion 360, SketchUp, Revit (or similar BIM platforms), and ArcGIS/QGIS.
- Previous experience leading, training, or mentoring CAD teams is highly desirable.
