ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Assembly Lead Technician in EPI, you will responsible for leading day-to-day manufacturing operations within an assigned production area, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of production plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead daily production execution for the assigned area/shift, delivering Safety, Quality and Delivery targets (output, schedule adherence)
• Supervise, guide, and mentor a team of assembly technicians, ensuring efficient workflow, task assignment, and adherence to production schedules.
• Lead the assembly and integration of airframes components, ensuring that all work is performed to the standards of quality and accuracy.
• Implement and enforce quality control procedures throughout the assembly process, conducting inspections and ensuring that all products meet quality standards.
• Provide training to team members on assembly techniques, safety protocols, and quality standards. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and skill development.
• Assist team members in diagnosing and resolving issues that arise during the assembly and integration process, ensuring that all components function correctly and are installed properly.
• Maintain detailed records of the assembly process, production progress, and any issues encountered. Provide regular reports to management on team performance, production metrics, and quality outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to streamline assembly processes, improve efficiency, and reduce waste. Implement lean manufacturing practices where applicable. Accountable to upkeep consumables and implement Kanban systems.
• Ensure that all team members adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring the integrity of Airframe systems.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production, or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in Metallic and Composite structure Fabrication/Assembly/Repair. Hands on experience with Composites layup build/Repair.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and process optimization skills, with the ability to support production and resolve complex manufacturing issues.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Significant experience in Aerostructure assembly and integration of mechanical and electronic components, preferably in the aerospace or UAV industry.
• Experience managing technicians and supporting production targets with high pace environment.
• Experience in aerospace, defence, or other high-precision manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, and root-cause analysis.
