About the role

Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling precision components and parts according to engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions and quality standards. The role requires attention to detail, technical skills, and the ability to work with small and complex mechanical and electrical parts.

 

Responsibilities

 

 

  • Perform precision assembly of components and sub-assemblies according to engineering drawings, technical specifications, and work instructions.
  • Ensure assembled parts meet required quality, tolerance, and dimensional standards and final testing.
  • Use and maintain precision measuring tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges and calibration equipment.
  • Follow established assembly procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards during all operations.
  • Identify and report defects, non-conformities, or process issues to assembly leads.
  • Maintain accurate production records, assembly documentation, and inspection reports.
  • Support process improvement and industrialization activities to enhance assembly efficiency and automated solutions.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of tools, equipment, and materials in lean practice.
  • Analyse historical data and consumption trends to forecast future inventory requirements.
  • Implement efficient stock management systems and processes to minimize wastage and improve efficiency.
  • Prepare regular inventory report to track and identify high consumption areas and gaps.
  • Work collaboratively with production, quality, and engineering teams to meet project timelines and production targets.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement best practices to enhance inventory management efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in line with workplace safety and operational standards.
  • Provide reactive support to resolve Instrument inventory, stock and technical problems.
  • Ensure all assembly practice meet required safety standards and packing requirements.
  • Maintain proper documentation of assembly activities, inspections, and production records.
  • Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department

 

 

     Basic Qualifications

 

1–2 years experience in:

  • Assembly work
  • Manufacturing

 

  • Diploma or technical training in mechanical or related field
  • Experience in mechanical or product assembly
