Top Technical Requirements:

  • Create and process purchase orders ensuring completion of documentation as per the procurement procedure.
  • Initiate Request for Information/Proposal/Quotation/Tender (RFX) process to source, evaluate and select the most valuable suppliers; send requirements to Logistics department for import and export permits/licencing as applicable.
  • Execute the process of RFX- / bid solicitation from receiving initial user specification through order or contract execution as applicable.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs, quality and delivery requirements.
  • Support in the formulation, negotiation and award of procurement contracts ensuring their timely reviews and renewals.
  • Maintain effective partnerships with suppliers to leverage on the opportunities of cost reduction and service efficiency.
  • Consistently monitor, evaluate and improve supplier performance, according to the Service Level Agreement.
  • Keep track of orders to ensure timely delivery of materials. Inspect received orders to match the requisition specifications in terms of quality and quantity.
  • Operate SAP system to manage and maintain high quality and accurate data records of purchases, shipments, inventory, supply of goods, etc.
  • Ensure optimal stock levels to maintain an efficient flow of goods.
  • Prepare and submit procurement and auditing reports on weekly/monthly basis.
  • Ensure all purchasing activities follow institutional policies and government regulations.
  • Acting with Integrity: Knowledge of procurement techniques. 
  • Planning and Organizing: Proficiency in SAP ERP systems. 
  • Stakeholder Focus: Strong negotiation skills. 
  • Building and Managing Relations: Commercial awareness. 
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze procurement data.

 

Knowledge/Qualification & Experience

  • Minimum: 3-5 years’ of experience in sourcing and procurement processes .
  • Preferred: 2 years’ experience in similar industry with regional exposure.
  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in business administration / Finance & Accounts / Supply Chain Management / Procurement and Logistics.
  • Preferred: Professional CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) qualification or equivalent.
  • Proficiency of Microsoft
  • Knowledge of procurement ERP systems (SAP)
