Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Operate autoclave machines in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor and control autoclave cycles to ensure proper temperature, pressure, and vacuum levels are maintained throughout the curing process.
  • Load and unload fabricated components into and from autoclave chambers with care to prevent damage or defects.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on autoclave equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Record and maintain accurate documentation of autoclave cycles, including temperature, pressure, and curing times.
  • Work closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to ensure that aerospace components meet all required specifications and standards.
  • Adhere to strict quality control measures to identify and address any deviations or defects in the curing process.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the autoclave area, including regular cleaning of equipment and workspaces.

Education & Experience:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or vocational training in manufacturing or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience operating autoclave machines in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the aerospace industry.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with autoclave equipment.
  • Knowledge of aerospace materials and composites preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed to meet production deadlines.
  • Certification in LEAN, 3P and 5S are desirable.
