Chief Instructor – Mechanised Infantry
We are seeking an experienced and driven Chief Instructor – Mechanised Infantry to lead the design, coordination and execution of a comprehensive training programme. This role is critical in developing recruits to meet the operational standards required for modern mechanised units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and continuously refine a progressive mechanised infantry training programme, from foundational soldiering to vehicle-based combat operations
- Establish, monitor and enforce tactical, technical and vehicle-related performance standards, including structured assessment frameworks
- Lead, mentor and manage a team of instructors, ensuring consistent, high-quality training delivery
- Oversee all training activities, ensuring safety, realism and alignment with operational doctrine across both dismounted and mounted operations
- Integrate training with other domains including physical training, weapons and signals to reflect real-world operations
- Develop operational capability through vehicle drills, convoy operations, combined arms integration and battlefield mobility
- Implement robust safety and risk management procedures, particularly for vehicle operations and live-fire exercises
- Manage training resources including vehicles, simulators, equipment and training areas
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular reporting on performance, risks and training outcomes
- Drive continuous improvement through performance analysis and evolving operational requirements
About You:
- Extensive experience in mechanised infantry or armoured roles within a military environment
- Proven leadership and team management capability
- Strong operational military background
- Experience delivering instruction within large-scale training programmes
