Key Accountabilities

  • Deep understanding of the latest advancements in modeling and simulation, GNC, computer vision, aerodynamics, and related fields. Ability to drive the development of these technologies within the organization.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy for the Analytical Engineering Group, aligning with the company’s overall business objectives. 
  • Champion innovation in aerospace technologies, ensuring our projects set industry standards for excellence and innovation.
  • Spearhead research and development initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation. 
  • Identify and prioritize research projects that have the potential to yield significant advancements in aerospace technology.
  • Oversee the integration of diverse technical disciplines within the group, including modeling and simulation, GNC, computer vision, and aerodynamics. 
  • Ensure collaborative synergy across departments to achieve breakthroughs in aerial and missile system design and functionality.
  • Ensure that all engineering projects and initiatives meet the highest standards of technical excellence, safety, and compliance with global aerospace standards. 
  • Implement rigorous quality assurance processes and methodologies to safeguard the integrity of our engineering outputs.
  • Drive research and development efforts to explore new theories, tools, and technologies in aerospace engineering. Maintain a portfolio of research initiatives aimed at pushing the boundaries of what is possible in aerial and missile system design.
  • Cultivate a culture of technical excellence and innovation within the team. Lead by example in adopting the latest engineering methodologies, simulation tools, and programming languages relevant to aerospace system design and analysis.
  • Ensure all engineering processes and systems designs adhere to international aerospace standards, including DO-178C for software, DO-254 for hardware, and relevant MIL-STDs for defense applications.

 

Knowledge/Qualification & Experience

  • 25+ years of experience in aerospace engineering, with a significant portion in leadership roles overseeing large-scale engineering projects and teams.
  • Proven track record in the successful development and deployment of advanced aerospace systems
  • PhD or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 
  • Additional qualifications in business or technology management are highly desirable.
  • Profound knowledge in aerospace system dynamics, control theory, and aerodynamics.
  • Deep understanding of aerodynamics, propulsion, and flight dynamics, particularly as they relate to missile and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in simulation and modeling tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, ANSYS, or similar), programming languages (C/C++, Python, Julia), and AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Strong strategic planning skills, with the ability to envision and execute technology strategies that align with the company’s long-term goals.
  • Proficiency in managing innovation processes, from concept through to commercialization. Experience in leading R&D teams and in securing funding for research initiatives.
