Core Accountabilities
- Lead and supervise the Configuration Control team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, industry standards, and customer requirements.
- Define, document, and maintain baselines for all configuration elements, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), tooling, gauges, manufacturing process sequences, process parameters, inspection and testing processes/parameters, raw material specifications, and design specifications and drawings.
- Define, update and maintain Products Technical Specifications, Technical Data Sheet to fulfil the latest Engineering changes and updated International standards (MIL, NATO, CIP)
- Manage and document changes to the Control Plan and ensure proper approval workflows are followed.
- Maintain detailed records of validation activities for configuration changes, ensuring compliance with internal and external specifications.
- Track and document all actions required to control Change Requests, ensuring prerequisites are met before changes are implemented.
- Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and approval of all configuration changes through Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Change Notices (ECOs).
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure changes comply with regulatory and customer requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments for configuration changes, identifying potential impacts on production or quality.
- Perform regular audits of configuration records to verify data integrity, compliance, and adherence to baselines.
- Review and approve documentation packages for regulatory, customer, and internal audits, acting as the focal point for audit readiness.
- Oversee version control mechanisms to maintain accurate and up-to-date configuration baselines.
- Mentor and train team members to ensure professional growth and adherence to best practices.
Experience & Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Certifications in Configuration Management (e.g., CMII, ISO 10007) are an advantag
- 10+ years of experience in related roles within a manufacturing environment, preferably in defense or ammunition manufacturing.
