Join Us as a Customs Clearance Coordinator – Supply Chain Management

Be part of Caracal Light Ammunitions’s supply chain operations supporting critical imports and exports. As a Customs Clearance Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth, compliant, and timely movement of materials—particularly sensitive and dangerous goods—through close coordination with government authorities, ports, and logistics partners.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Track and organize all import and export shipments.

  • Attend air, sea, and land ports as required for shipment clearance.

  • Coordinate customs clearance documentation and approvals.

  • Prepare and issue Ministry of Defense (MoD) application letters.

  • Follow up with MoD, MOI, GHQ, Police, and Customs on clearance status.

  • Arrange and attend MoD escorts for DG shipments when required.

  • Liaise with shipping agents, freight forwarders, and logistics providers.

  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure shipment readiness.

  • Support air, land, and sea logistics operations.

  • Identify delays or risks and propose corrective actions.

  • Review logistics processes and recommend improvements.

  • Ensure compliance with company HSE and OSH procedures.

  • Report hazards, incidents, and non-compliance issues.

HSE Responsibilities

  • Comply with all OSH instructions and safe working procedures.

  • Use appropriate PPE and safety systems.

  • Follow emergency and evacuation procedures.

  • Report HSE hazards, incidents, and safety concerns.

  • Customs clearance and logistics operations knowledge

  • Dangerous Goods (DG) clearance experience

  • Liaison with government authorities (MoD, MOI, GHQ, Police)

  • Negotiation and problem-solving skills

  • Computer literacy (MS Office and logistics systems)

 

Experience & Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field

  • Professional logistics or customs certification is an advantage

  • Experience with DG shipments preferred

  • Strong understanding of confidentiality and compliance requirements

  • Must have good negotiating skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relation with forwarding agents and transporters
  • Must have ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment and to deal patiently and tactfully with staff members and others.
  • Must have high knowledge in Microsoft office, and to be familiar with it.
