About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Electrical Technician – Test Facility Controls Technician to support advanced engine testing and hardware development activities within our Air Propulsion division.

This role is focused on the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic circuits and prototype systems used in engine test facilities. You will work closely with engineering teams to support hardware development, instrumentation setup, and basic data acquisition systems.

The ideal candidate is practical, technically curious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced test and development environment where precision, safety, and reliability are critical.

 

What You Will Do

You will play a key role in supporting engineering and test operations through hands-on electrical and electronic work, including:

  • Assembling and soldering electronic components on veroboards and copper PCBs based on engineering schematics
  • Supporting the development, integration, and troubleshooting of electronic circuits and control systems
  • Assisting engineers with hardware prototyping, debugging, and validation activities
  • Performing electrical measurements using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and related diagnostic tools
  • Supporting basic setup and operation of data acquisition systems (LabVIEW experience is a plus)
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of circuit diagrams, test results, and component tracking
  • Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with safety procedures and quality standards
  • Identifying and reporting issues, defects, and technical risks during testing activities
    Contributing ideas for improving test processes, efficiency, and reliability

 

  • What We Are Looking For
  • Diploma or certification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline
  • Hands-on experience in a workshop, laboratory, or manufacturing environment
  • Basic understanding of electronic components, circuit design, and soldering techniques
  • Experience working with veroboard and PCB prototyping
  • Ability to read and interpret basic electrical schematics
  • Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters
  • Exposure to LabVIEW or data acquisition systems is an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative engineering environment
