Job Summary:
The Production engineer defines and works out how the product will be manufactured and/or assembled on the production line including design of packaging, ensuring the right quantity of components/products are delivered and aligned to support the speed of the production line.
Key Accountabilities:
Identify, Communicate and Manage the discrepancies between the engineering data pack and the manufacturing data pack
Review and Analyse the Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) of released data packs Manage
Affective communicate production issues to relevant departments
Coordinate and implement engineering changes on the shop floor Manage
Identify production issues on the assembly line and lead problem solving teams to perform root cause analyses
Drive objectives to achieve production KPI’s (Safety / Quality / Volume / Costs) Manage
Identify issues in efficiency and implement improvements.
Monitor and report on production variations through statistical process controls (SPC)
Ensure health and safety regulations are met
Experience & Education Qualifications:
Expertise:
(Minimum) 3+ years of experience as a Production Engineer. |
(Preferred) Experience in development engineering and new product launches. |
Minimum Qualification:
(Minimum) Engineering Degree, Fluent in English.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering and/or qualification in DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly)
