Key Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Monitor the status of all equipment maintenance with emphasis on the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) equipment.
  • Maintain all design schematics for PLC equipment.
  • Identify opportunities to upgrade or enhance mechanical or electrical equipment to PLC.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports regarding equipment readiness with an emphasis on critical equipment. 
  • Prepare a rolling three month plan for Preventive Maintenance (PM) in each workshop.
  • Provide assistance to the Manager, Facilities in the development of the Annual Equipment Maintenance Plan and the Life Cycle Plan.
  • Monitor the status of work orders, labour hours, materials and spare parts for facilities related Corrective Maintenance (CM) and PM.
  • Provide technical advice to other departments in matters related to facilities engineering and in compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct training for assigned employees as required.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of all company information.
  • Support other members of the Facilities Department in fulfilling their roles.
  • Perform other duties as required by the Manager, Facilities.

 

 

Experience and Education:

 

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in PLC required; Master degree preferred.
  • A minimum of two to three years of experience in PLC machine mechanical and/or electrical maintenance, with knowledge of engineering principles, theories and practices is required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a supervisory position is preferred.
  • Previous military experience is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in drafting, planning, scheduling and work execution is required.
  • Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office software and CAD or AutoCAD is preferred.
  • Knowledge of software design principles is an advantage.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally is required. 
  • Have, or be able to obtain a valid UAE driver’s license.
