Engineer I - Radio Frequency
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Tawazun Industrial Park, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Role Purpose:
We are seeking a motivated and technically curious Engineer I - Radio Frequency to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of electromagnetics and RF systems. This role involves supporting senior engineers in the concept design and detailed design of RF systems and components, performing tests, simulations, and analysis of RF systems, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team. Strong communication skills and technical documentation abilities are key for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist senior engineers in the design and development of electromagnetic, RF, and microwave systems and components.

Conduct testing, measurements, simulations, and analysis of electromagnetic and RF systems to evaluate performance, using simulation tools and hardware equipment.

Collaborate in design reviews, system requirement specifications, and documentation of design descriptions for RF systems.

Prepare technical documentation including design specifications, test procedures, and acceptance test reports.

Stay up to date with the latest advancements in RF and electromagnetic technologies through research and continuous learning.

Participate in flight tests, lab tests, and factory acceptance tests for project verification.

Attend project meetings, providing clear and concise updates and insights to the team.

Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in all tasks and activities.

Required Competencies:

Basic understanding of system engineering processes, including requirements analysis, design, integration, verification, certification, and configuration management.

Ability to use test equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.

Competence in systematic fault finding and problem-solving at the subsystem and system level.
Specific Competencies:
The ideal candidate will possess basic knowledge in the following areas:

Signal analysis, Fourier transforms, probability, and random variables.

Basic electromagnetics theory, RF propagation, interference analysis, antenna measurement, link budget calculations, microwave network analysis, S-parameters, and impedance matching.

Digital communication systems, including modulation techniques, multiple access techniques, source coding, and decoding.

Engineering software tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, CST/HFSS, and Microwave Office.
Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of Electromagnetics and Radio Frequency Systems.
Education/Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Communications Engineering from an accredited institution.
