Job Summary:

 

The purpose of this position is to perform guidance and control systems support and development.  The engineer will act as a supporter to the senior and principal engineers and grow into the role of an independent guidance and control systems designer

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Execute any of the departmental technical capabilities not limited to:
    • Simulation
    • Guidance & Control
    • Tracking System
    • Software Development [SIL and PIL]
    • Lab Testing and Performance Verification
    • Mission Planning
  • Mentoring Engineers Not Limited To:
    • Junior Engineers
  • Flight Test
    • Pre-Flight Preparation
    • Flight Test
    • Post-Flight Analysis
  • Provides support for the senior engineer in the form of technical contributions.
  • Execute any of the departmental technical capabilities not limited to:
    • Simulation
    • Guidance & Control
    • Tracking System
    • Software Development [SIL and PIL]
    • Lab Testing and Performance Verification
    • Mission Planning
  • Mentoring Engineers Not Limited To:
    • Junior Engineers

    • Post-Flight Analysis
  • Provides support for the senior engineer in the form of technical contributions.

 

Experience & Education Qualifications:

  • At least 2-3 years’ engineering experience is required in the field of guidance and control.         
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant fields (i.e. electrical, mechanical, embedded systems, aerospace engineering, etc.)
  • It is preferred that the person has completed their basic engineering training in the field of guidance and control systems.    
  • Knowledge of 6-DoF simulations, guidance and control systems as applied to guided weapon system.
  • Familiarity with the dynamics and kinematics of guided weapon systems
  • Control systems
  • Simulation software such as Matlab and Simulink
