MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervise all assigned Controller(s), Document; Expeditor(s) and Technician(s), planning in support of the accomplishment of the maintenance mission.
• Oversee the planning, tracking and analysis of project types of various types, size and complexity.
• Assist in planning the resource requirements, workflow planning, design layouts of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
• Schedule all assigned works, materials, tools and consumables requirement planning, monitoring, and controlling the material movement.
• Develop and monitor the training of all assigned employees on a variety of fabrication tasks to ensure work is executed as planned.
• Supervise the completion of maintenance-related documentation such as work orders, repair parts request forms, and technical data sheets.
• Ensure the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and quality procedures for all assigned fabrication operations.
• Ensure that all material and consumables research is performed, and that the required material and consumables are requisitioned in appropriate quantities.
• Confer with vendors to determine fabrication workshop equipment specifications and assist for the purchase of equipment, materials or parts.
• Evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards.
• Estimate production times, staffing requirements and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
• Assist in the preparation and updating of BPA item lists, preparing the purchase request for all required tools and consumables, coordinating with the procurement team.
• Confer with management, engineering and other employees regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate the production process.
• Comply with and enforce all safety, housekeeping and environmental directives.
• Monitor and control all assigned operations and ensure they are accomplished in accordance with all technical manuals, KPIs, OEM specifications and customer requirements.
• Ensure all issued tools, test equipment and high-value property is maintained in a serviceable condition, routinely inventoried and safeguarded.
• Maintain the confidentiality and security of all company information.
• Perform other duties as required by the Manager, Fabrication.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• A minimum of one year of experience in planning with a knowledge of manufacturing concepts is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• A minimum of one year of experience in fabrication is required; in a manufacturing environment or automotive industry is preferred.
• Previous military or automotive industry experience is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma and ISO methodologies, practices and processes in a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) setting is an advantage.
• The ability to identify process and workflow improvements is an advantage.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are preferred.
• The ability to communicate effectively with both managerial and non-managerial personnel is required.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software is required; experience with SAP is preferred.
• The ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally is required.
• Have, or be able to obtain a valid UAE driver’s license.
