Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Designs, plans, organises, coordinates and supervises all facilities project activities .  
  • Assists management with the facilities Annual Maintenance Plan and the Life Cycle Plan.
  • Ensures the process is maintained within the latest ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System standards.
  • Learns, understands and complies with applicable health, safety and environment directives.
  • Participates in the development of a safe and healthy working environment.  
  • Ensures compliance with all company policies, manuals, procedures and work instructions.
  • Ensure all facility related repairs, upgrades and modification are in accordance with the project contract.
  • Coordinate the requirements of the owner to identify the scope of the project.
  • Coordinate with employees for technical engineering, engineering design and Computer Aided Drafting (CAD).
  • Develop the Scope of Work (SOW) and coordinate with the Procurement Department for estimated costs, proposals and vendor evaluations.
  • Monitor the performance of the work throughout the project to ensure compliance at all times and successful completion of the task
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports relating to facilities projects as required.
  • Provide technical advice to other departments in matters related to facilities engineering and to maintaining compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct training for assigned employees as required
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of all company information.
  • Support other members of the Facilities Department in fulfilling their roles.
  • Perform other duties as required by the Manager, Facilities.

 

 

 

Experience and Education :

 

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering required; Master degree preferred
  • A minimum of five to six years of experience in facilities maintenance, with knowledge of engineering principles, theories and practices is required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a supervisory position is preferred.

 

 

Skills:

 

  • Previous military experience is an advantage.
  • Experience in project management is an advantage.
  • Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office software and Computer Aided Design (CAD) or AutoCAD is preferred.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally is required.  
  • Must have a valid UAE driver’s license.
