Key Responsibilities:

• Design, plan, organise, coordinate and supervise all facilities project activities located within the GMC MBO including repairs, upgrades and modifications.
• Ensure all facility related repairs, upgrades and modification are in accordance with the project contract.
• Coordinate the requirements of the owner to identify the scope of the project.
• Coordinate with the GMC facilities representative for all GMC directed facilities projects.
• Coordinate with employees for technical engineering, engineering design and Computer Aided Drafting (CAD).
• Develop the Scope of Work (SOW) and coordinate with the AL TAIF Contracts and Procurement Department for estimated costs, proposals and vendor evaluations.
• Monitor the performance of the work throughout the project to ensure compliance at all times and successful completion of the task.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports relating to facilities projects as required.
• Provide technical advice to other departments in matters related to facilities engineering and to maintaining compliance with regulations.
• Conduct training for assigned employees as required.
• Maintain the confidentiality and security of all company information.
• Support other members of the Facilities Department in fulfilling their roles.
• Perform other duties as required by the Manager, Facilities.

Experience and Education:

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering required; Master degree preferred
• A minimum of five to six years of experience in facilities maintenance, with knowledge of engineering principles, theories and practices is required.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a supervisory position is preferred.
• Experience in project management is an advantage.
• Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office software and Computer Aided Design (CAD) or AutoCAD is preferred.
• The ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally is required. 
• Have, or be able to obtain a valid UAE driver’s license.The ability to work independently without direct supervision on a day to day basis is required.
• A good work ethic is required as this position requires the employee to come to work on time every day.
