Engineering Manager - Defence Engineering | KATIM

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering workstreams across complex defence programmes.

• Drive delivery against technical, schedule, cost, quality, and integration objectives.

• Plan resources, milestones, dependencies, risks, and engineering priorities.

• Coordinate Systems, Software, Hardware, Integration, Test, Cybersecurity, and Network teams.

• Act as the technical focal point for stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and programme leadership.

• Support technical decisions, risk mitigation, change control, and engineering governance.

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.

• 10+ years of experience in Defence, Aerospace, Communications, or mission-critical technology.

• Proven experience leading engineering development activities and multidisciplinary teams.

• Strong understanding of engineering lifecycles, systems integration, verification, and programme delivery.

• Experience working in regulated or defence environments.

Key Skills

• Defence Communications, C2/C4ISR, Tactical Communications, Defence Networking, or Secure Communications.

• Engineering & Programme Management.

• Systems Integration, Technical Risk & Delivery Management.

• Stakeholder and Supplier Management.

• Familiarity with MS Project, JIRA, DOORS/JAMA, Confluence, and EVM.

• Strong technical leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
