Key Responsibilities
- Engineering Technical Publication Development: Develop and support the maturity of engineering-driven technical publications required during design, development, integration, flight test, certification, and operational readiness phases, including AFTM, PAMM, procedures, limitations, maintenance instructions, and technical operational guidance.
- Technical Content Validation and Traceability: Act as the engineering focal point for technical publication content, ensuring that manuals, procedures, limitations, and maintenance instructions are technically accurate, configuration-aligned, and traceable to design data, configuration status, test results, and approved baseline information.
- Airworthiness and Certification Documentation Support: Support airworthiness and certification activities by preparing, consolidating, and maintaining technical documentation required for prototype operation, flight test, Permit to Fly, MDOA implementation, compliance demonstration, certification maturity, and regulatory submissions.
- Configuration and Publication Update Control: Ensure that technical publications are updated as required to reflect design changes, test feedback, operational lessons learned, safety recommendations, maintenance inputs, and configuration changes, while maintaining alignment with engineering and configuration management processes.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Professional Training: Training in aircraft/UAS technical publications, engineering documentation, configuration management, airworthiness documentation, S1000D or equivalent publication standards, and document control processes is desirable.
- Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in aerospace technical publications, engineering documentation, UAV/UAS or aircraft development, flight manuals, maintenance manuals, prototype documentation, flight test support, certification support, or related aviation technical documentation activities.
