Finishing Operator

External Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Perform finishing and deburring processes including blending, polishing and the creation of edge breaks. 
• Inspect manufactured components for quality conformance to specifications using bench gauging.
• Ensure standard procedures are followed in all aspects of work including tool setup and operation, process verification, product inspection, documentation, and material handling;
• Perform visual inspection.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area;
• Deburring of the parts by removing Sharp edges, Mismatch, Tool Marks, Tab cutting and grinding.
• Perform Spot facing as per requirement
• Straitening by 3 Point bending, shot peening or manual by using mallet.
• Performs Total Preventive Maintenance Activities (TPM) as per TPM Checklist.
• Perform In Process Measurement (IPM) to ensure that only quality output is provided to the customer or following manufacturing process.
• Fill in all controlled and required documents precisely and accurately and do the SFC in timely Manners.
• Maintain Housekeeping and 5S under area of responsibility.
• Operate deburring equipment such as pneumatic saw, band saw, pneumatic polishers/sanders, spot facing, or drilling, Angle grinder, Straight Grinder, Belt Grinder, Sanding paper, and cleaning with die stone.
• Verify the tools and processes for completion and accuracy, by stamping the shop traveler sequence

Qualifications and Skills

• Trade School Accreditation/High School diploma or equivalent qualification
• Certification or Accreditation in Deburring.
• Straightening Process, Material handling
• Quality Inspection and Measurement
• Ability to work under pressure

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the aerospace or automotive industries.
