Role Purpose

The Incoming or Quality Inspector performs quality assessments on all incoming products and materials to ensure they meet the specifications as well as the quality standards of the organization. The job incumbent is also responsible for documenting inspection results, preparing Non-Conformance Reports and maintaining the inspection equipment. 

Key responsibilities:

• Create inspection and control plans to undertake quality inspections of all incoming materials to a high standard
• Perform regular quality assessments by conducting visual and measurement tests against specifications
• Identify, report and segregate varying and non-complying parts / materials in accordance with the procedure for the control of non-conforming products
• Record inspection results including defects or deviations, prepare Non-Conformance Reports, document corrective actions as well as relevant additional information
• Ensure on time processing of non-conforming components
• Create process checklists and update daily inspection tracker
• Release the parts from SAP
• Upkeep and maintain the quality equipment by following operating instructions and calibration requirements, and calling for repairs; ensure they are safe to operate at all times
• Enforce safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations
