Role Purpose

Support supplier development and industrialization activities for POWERTECH propulsion programs, including turbofan, microjet and piston engines.

This is an early-career opportunity combining structured engineering activities with hands-on development of aerospace manufacturing knowledge through supplier-site work, technical data analysis and support to supplier assessments and readiness gates.

 

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Support supplier process assessments and site visits by collecting technical data and observations.
  • Assist with supplier assessment reports, development actions and gate evidence.
  • Track supplier development actions and maintain status records.
  • Support preparation of work instructions, manufacturing routings and operation sheets.
  • Perform time studies, cycle-time measurements and manufacturing data collection.
  • Support process capability studies and measurement-data analysis.
  • Assist with capacity data collection and capacity models.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations and status updates.
  • Review supplier manufacturing documentation for completeness.
  • Support FAI and PPAP readiness and evidence collation.
  • Participate in first-off part reviews and process-validation activities.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective-action tracking.
  • Coordinate activities between suppliers, Engineering, Supply Chain and Product Quality Engineering.
  • Develop technical competence in machining, sheet-metal fabrication and aerospace manufacturing processes.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing or Materials Engineering.
  • 0–3 years’ experience; manufacturing internships or graduate placements are advantageous.
  • Foundational understanding of machining and sheet-metal manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings with foundational GD&T knowledge.
  • Familiarity with inspection, non-conformance and root cause analysis.
  • Strong data-analysis and technical-reporting capability.
  • Willingness to spend significant time on manufacturing shop floors and supplier sites.
  • Strong learning orientation and ability to work effectively with external manufacturing partners
