ABOUT THE ROLE

About POWERTECH

POWERTECH is a center of excellence for propulsion technologies, specializing in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of combustion engines, expendable turbojet engines, and turbofan engines for a wide range of aerospace, defence, and autonomous applications, including fixed- and rotary-wing UAVs and other advanced platforms.

Purpose

The Industrialization & Supply chain Engineer is responsible for coordinating the entire turbofan supply chain in the production flow, from preliminary suppliers’ selection, qualification to serial production; from raw and materials to manufacturing, assembly, testing and delivery of certified engines or prototypes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with Supply Chain department, Engineering Manufacturing, Product Management team and the Industrialization team so as to select and qualify suppliers in the defined countries and advise on material and raw material selection choices
• Coordinate to the make or buy and supply chain strategy for the Turbofan department to always ensure a resilient supply chain so as to secure the turbofans delivery plan
• Coordinate manufacturing schedules on a product delivery/supplied parts delivery perspective, assembly schedules, test schedules
• Assess and mitigate the risks related to production delivery plan and supply chain (supply shortages, capacity bottlenecks, long lead items, cost overruns)
• Ensure the right application in the supply chain of international laws, standards, Powertech processes and export control rules

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 15 years of experience within turbofan propulsion supply chain selection/qualification
• Solid understanding of turbofan architectures (sub-systems and their integration constraints), performance drivers and technology interfaces (sensors, equipment…)
• Solid experience and knowledge on material selection/characteristics and manufacturing process and impact (lifetime, repeatability, flaws characterization, properties…)
• Solid knowledge of Supply Chain structure for aeroengine and key players in different countries (Morocco, India, France, Poland…)
• Strong knowledge of the European/EMEA turbofan Supply chain/ tier-1, tier-2… suppliers
• Experience in manufacturing and production, FAI, Validation and Qualification
• Knowledge of AS9100, production systems, and industrial quality.
• Exposure to international cooperation
