ABOUT THE ROLE
This role exists to ensure the full integrity and effectiveness of Beacon Red's training delivery for Arabic-speaking clients and participants. As the linguistic bridge between instructors and learners, the Interpreter enables seamless knowledge transfer across both classroom and practical training environments — ensuring nothing is lost in translation when technical accuracy and contextual precision matter most.
Working directly alongside training delivery teams and client stakeholders, this role carries accountability for interpretation, translation, and active participation in scenario-based learning. Success in this role means training cohorts receive an equivalent quality experience regardless of language, and that client-facing communication is handled with the professionalism and discretion the environment demands.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver accurate simultaneous interpretation between English and Arabic across classroom instruction and practical training sessions, maintaining technical and contextual precision throughout
- Translate training curricula, supporting materials, and documentation from English to Arabic (and vice versa), ensuring fidelity to original intent and terminology
- Provide professional interpretation support during client meetings and stakeholder engagements, maintaining confidentiality and appropriate register
- Execute assigned role-play activities within training scenarios, contributing to realistic and effective learning outcomes
- Manage translation of client correspondence, ensuring clarity, consistency, and professional tone across all written communication
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Native or near-native fluency in both Arabic and English, with demonstrated professional proficiency in both languages
- Proven experience in simultaneous interpretation within technical, professional, or defence/security training environments
- Formal qualification in translation, interpretation, linguistics, or a related discipline (Bachelor's degree or equivalent)
- Experience translating technical or instructional content, with strong attention to contextual accuracy
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Exposure to defence, security, law enforcement, or advanced industries terminology in either language
- Professional certification from a recognised interpretation or translation body (e.g. CIOL, ITI, or equivalent)
- Prior experience supporting scenario-based or simulation training in a bilingual environment
- Familiarity with Gulf region operational and cultural context, particularly in a client-facing or institutional setting
