Role Summary
The Logistics & Test Facilities Planning Specialist is responsible for coordinating material planning, logistics execution, and operational readiness for Powertech’s engine test facilities.
The role ensures that all materials, components, tools, equipment, and support services are available, compliant, and delivered in alignment with engine development, validation, and testing schedules.
This position plays a critical role in synchronizing supply chain activities with test facility operations to ensure uninterrupted testing programs and optimal facility utilization.
Key Responsibilities
Test Facility Planning & Readiness

Develop and maintain integrated logistics and material plans aligned with engine test schedules.

Coordinate procurement planning for test rigs, instrumentation, consumables, and spare parts.

Ensure facility readiness through structured planning of tooling, materials, and external services.

Support engine test campaigns by forecasting material and logistics requirements.
Logistics & Material Coordination

Manage inbound and outbound logistics for test engines, components, and specialized equipment.

Coordinate time-sensitive shipments to support development and validation milestones.
-
Optimize freight costs while ensuring on-time availability of critical materials.

Monitor and track long-lead items impacting test schedules.
Supplier & Procurement Planning

Support sourcing and supplier qualification for test facility-specific requirements.

Collaborate with procurement teams on RFQs, technical specifications, and delivery planning.

Track vendor performance against test program timelines.
-
Assist in contract planning and logistics risk mitigation strategies.
Inventory & ERP Management

Monitor inventory levels of test consumables and critical spares.
-
Analyze usage trends and lead times to prevent stockouts.

Ensure accurate ERP (SAP or equivalent) system updates for purchase orders, deliveries, and material movements.

Maintain compliance with procurement and logistics documentation requirements.
Compliance & Regulatory Coordination

Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, customs documentation, and defense-related controls.

Support audit readiness and documentation traceability for test facility operations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, Finance, and Program Management to align logistics with project milestones.

Participate in test readiness reviews and operational planning meetings.

Provide logistics risk assessments during project planning phases.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Generate dashboards and reports on logistics performance, material availability, and supplier delivery.

Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Support digitalization and automation initiatives within supply chain and test operations.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain planning, or test facility support within manufacturing or technology sectors.

Experience supporting engineering or production environments.
-
Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).

Familiarity with international logistics, Incoterms, and customs procedures.
-
Experience in project-based environments is highly desirable.
