About the role

LAHAB DEFENCE SYSTEMS manufactures medium and large calibre munitions. We are in the industry with over 25 years of experience in leading defence & security organizations. LAHAB is committed to modernising the entire munitions value chain with its 25+ years of knowledge and experience. We support major defence and security organisations, law enforcement agencies, and sports clients, supplying them with reliable and safe munitions and services.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems, to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of LAHAB to meet organizational strategy and goals.
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems.
  • Proficiency in various HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing systems, building automation controls, and energy management systems.
  • Familiarity with IoT devices, smart building technologies, or BIM software.
  • Performing general electrical maintenance on electrical DB’s and repair tasks and identifying the spares required as per the specifications.
  • Knowledge on pumps, motors, sensors, access controls and fire fighting and fire control panels.
  • Familiar with reading engineering drawings, piping layouts and electrical panel drawings.
  • Maintain, repair and overhaul mechanical equipment and parts in the facilities. Also, diagnose, troubleshoot, update and repair malfunctioning utility equipment’s.
  • Execute the preventive maintenance program as per schedules for production facilities.
  • Assembling pipe sections, tubing and fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent etc.
  • Selecting all materials needed for plumbing, including type and size of pipe.
  • Ensuring leak proof water & pneumatic / gas lines throughout the plant wherever required.
  • Assist the Supervisor in maintaining inventory used in facility equipment maintenance.
  • Respond to emergency situations as needed and/or assigned for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as allocated by a department Manager or Superior.
  • Ensure and adhere to safe work practices and procedures including, but not limited to, lockout/tag out and confined space rules and regulations.
  • Read, understand and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
  • Maintain QMS ISO, safety, health and environmental policies and procedures and uphold standards of maximum safety.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Vocational Trade Certificate.
  • 5-8 years of experience in industrial MEP field.
  • Good command of English language.
  • Valid UAE Driving license (manual vehicle) due to operational requirement
