Manager - DFAM Expert (PCB)

The Design for Advanced Manufacturing Specialist will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing engineering data packs to ensure compliance with design for manufacturing guidelines. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of PCB assembly processes and will work closely with design and manufacturing teams to optimize designs for manufacturability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness

Key Accountabilities

• Review and assess engineering data packs, including PCB design files, schematics, and BOMs, to ensure they meet established DFAM principles and standards 
• Identify potential manufacturing issues within the designs and recommend modifications to enhance manufacturability.
• Collaborate with PCB designers and engineers to incorporate DFAM best practices into early design stages
• Develop and implement guidelines and checklists for DFAM compliance in PCB assembly
• Conduct regular training sessions for design and manufacturing teams to raise awareness and understanding of DFAM concepts
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in PCB manufacturing and integrate relevant innovations into our processes
• Participate in prototype validation tests to evaluate manufacturing feasibility.
• Work with external manufacturing partners to ensure designs are optimized for production

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree 
• 8 to 10 years in Design Manufacturing for PCB
