Finance Manager

Role Summary

 

As Finance Manager for the Platforms & Systems Cluster, you will support the Cluster CFO in delivering financial rigor, commercial insight, and operational finance excellence. You’ll be a key analytical partner, owning financial planning, project finance, and monthly and strategic reporting. Must be CA/CFA qualified (or equivalent), highly analytical, and strong in system implementation and utilization.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and 3–5 year business planning activities for the cluster.
  • Perform variance analysis (Budget vs. Actual and Forecast vs. Actual) and provide actionable insights to management.
  • Develop and maintain financial models for scenario planning, profitability analysis, costing, and business decision support.
  • Manage monthly financial performance reviews and present findings to the Cluster CFO and senior leadership.
  • Prepare and maintain cluster and project-level cash flow forecasts.
  • Oversee financial performance of projects, including cost, revenue, profitability, and forecast-to-completion tracking.
  • Produce project profitability reports and identify financial risks and opportunities.
  • Support business case development, investment appraisals, ROI modelling, and sensitivity analysis for new initiatives.
  • Drive automation and continuous improvement of financial reporting, dashboards, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA).
  • Deliver monthly management reporting on performance, profitability, cash flow, and key business metrics.
  • Partner with operations, procurement, sales, and business development teams to strengthen financial discipline and support strategic decision-making.

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • CA/CFA qualification, or highly relevant equivalent (such as CA / ACCA / CPA) with strong analytical skills.
  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.
  • 5-10 years of progressive finance experience, particularly in manufacturing / systems / defence or associated sectors.
  • Proven track record in FP&A, project finance, commercial modelling, cost control, profitability analysis.
  • Experience with ERP systems—SAP preferred (especially S/4HANA)—and with BI or reporting tooling (Excel, Power BI, dashboards).
  • Strong communication: able to present complex financial analyses to senior leadership in clear, actionable form.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, in matrixed setups, tight deadlines, and changing business priorities.
