About the Role.
As a Mechanical Engineer at ADASI, you will play a critical role in the design, analysis, and certification of advanced unmanned aerial systems and related technologies. This role spans the full engineering lifecycle—from concept through certification and into operations support—focusing on structural integrity, mechanical systems, and compliance with aerospace standards.
You will lead mass properties management, structural layouts, and systems engineering efforts across actuation, fuel, hydraulics, and thermal systems. Your work will directly impact the safety, performance, and reliability of our products throughout their life cycle. In addition to conducting detailed simulations, stress analysis, and materials testing, you will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, manufacturing units, and regulatory bodies to ensure design excellence and regulatory compliance.
What you Bring.
• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (Master’s/PhD is a plus)
• 5–7 years of aerospace engineering experience in relevant domains
• Proficiency in CAE tools: ANSYS, Abaqus, or Nastran
• Proficiency in CAD tools: CATIA, SolidWorks, or similar
• Strong understanding of aerospace standards and regulations, including:
-
- FAA/EASA Part 23 & Part 25
- MIL Standards, RTCA DO series, ASME, ASTM
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience with structural, fatigue, and vibration analysis techniques
Key Responsibilities
- Mass Properties
- Calculate and manage aircraft mass, balance, and moments of inertia
- Manage design weights, mass configurations, and CG envelope throughout the product lifecycle
- Structural Design & Analysis
- Propose structural layouts and design solutions using CAD tools
- Estimate loads under all operating/design conditions
- Select materials based on strength, weight, cost, and manufacturability
- Conduct strength, fatigue, and vibration analysis using classical and finite element methods
- Specify, lead, and post-process structural tests
- Ensure structural integrity and safety throughout product lifecycle
- Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis
- Design, develop, and test systems: actuation, fuel management, landing gear, hydraulics, pneumatics, and thermal
- Perform FMEA, safety analysis, and system architecture definition
- Participate in supplier selection and qualification campaigns
- Conduct simulations on kinematics, heat transfer, and fluid flow
- Certification Support
- Collaborate with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with aerospace regulations
- Manufacturing & Operations Support
- Provide engineering dispositions for non-conformance reports (NCRs) and field repair instructions
- Documentation
- Prepare technical drawings, reports, and documentation for analysis and design updates
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with design engineers, aerodynamicists, and systems engineers to optimize aircraft design
