About the role

 

The Material Planner ensures that the supply of materials meet the production schedule and minimum stock levels, to maintain smooth flow of production operations. The job incumbent is also responsible to plan and monitor the materials and products using production plans and information and manage the efficient flow of inventory.

 

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and oversee the adequate supply of materials consistent with production schedules to ensure efficient flow of production process.
  • Creating PRs based on demand projections in order to meet consumer demands.
  • Analyse supply trends and customer demands to create and maintain an inventory schedule in order to facilitate optimum inventory level of materials.
  • Conduct inventory checks to validate inventory accuracy against agreed target levels.
  • Monitor materials flow to identify bottlenecks and forecast problems, adjust or schedule changes and cancellations to resolve inventory issues.
  • Utilise and leverage the SAP planning system to generate demand and maintain accurate process flow.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to share updates on materials, engineering changes, quality issues, production plans, timelines, etc.
  • Prepare and provide regular statistical reports to key stakeholders and suggest ways to improve efficiency and performance
  • Implement all processes to agreed standards and targets. Identify areas of improvement and suggest continuous improvement initiatives

 

Basic Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in material planning and scheduling multiple projects with a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Experienced in using SAP software.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, engineering, or supply chain management.
  • Experienced Material planning and SAP user in Material Planning

 

Preferred Qualification

  • 4+ years of industry and regional related experience in planning and scheduling multiple projects.
