Role Summary:
The M&A manager evaluates opportunities for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. The position requires handling the M&A project management processes that include due diligence, valuation, structuring, closing, and post-acquisition integration. The coordination of research and analysis activities are required to assess strategic impact and risk of deals.
Core Accountabilities:
- Conduct strategic analysis and industry research to help evaluate potential investment and/or acquisitions opportunities and conduct due diligence and valuation analysis.
- Support M&A head of department in processes and activities of valuations, structuring, risks, due diligence, and negotiation.
- Demonstrate exceptional analytical thinking and application related to due diligence analysis and be able to identify key drivers of a business and potential transaction deal breakers.
- Manage the due diligence process for potential transactions, which entails collaborating with relevant divisions and business units across EDGE divisions and external parties for deal valuation and financial structuring.
- Lead/conduct detailed financial analysis of possible transactions, through robust financial modeling and valuation techniques to assess the strategic impact and risk of potential deal targets.
- Be able to recommend transaction deal structure.
- Develop and manage detailed milestones and timelines required for efficient transaction process; be able to work on a variety of transactions in all stages, from initial stages to transaction closing.
- Be responsible of preparing and presenting an accurate and strategic rationale of potential transactions so that management can make an informed decision.
- Manage effective communication with all relevant internal and external stakeholders.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Investment banking / IBD/ Corporate Finance advisory/ M&A / Big 4 / valuations / Returning buy side or corporate candidates
- Experience in UAE or Middle East is desirable
- Bachelor's degree from a reputable university in applicable discipline of Finance, Economics, Engineering, Accounting
