MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Ensure that AL TAIF operates within the applicable legal requirements, laws and regulations set forth by the UAE authorities.
  • Draft, revise and finalise correspondences between AL TAIF and customers, vendors, partners, UAE authorities and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with editing, developing and drafting contracts and agreements.
  • Maintain an awareness of developments in the legal field relevant to company business, including reviewing and reporting on the implications of any new legislation.
  • Review and interpret internal policies/procedures for the purpose of assisting departments with regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in the resolution of litigations and disputes with external parties.
  • Coordinate with Corporate Legal Counsel to finalise legal documents.
  • Maintain regular management reporting and keep the Contracts and Procurement teams up to date with regards to ongoing paralegal activities and the status of any open actions.
  • Translate, amend and type documents in Arabic and English.
  • Maintain records, files and databases.
  • Ensure all high value property is maintained in a serviceable condition, routinely inventoried and safeguarded.
  • Travel to other locations to perform duties when required.
  • Support other employees of the Contracts and Procurement Department in fulfilling their roles.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Manager, Contracts and Subcontracts, and the Director, Contracts and Procurement.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in law required, Master degree preferred, or Equivalent years of Experiences in the same field
  • A minimum of five to six years of legal experience in the UAE is required.
  • Experience preparing and managing commercial contracts with customers and vendors is required.


MAJOR SKILLS:

 

  • Strong communication skills and an attention to detail is preferred.
  • An excellent grasp of Microsoft Office software is required.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in both Arabic and English, in writing and verbally is required.  
  • Have, or be able to obtain an UAE driver’s license.
