About the role

Responsible for assisting in planning and monitoring materials and products used by production. Using product information and production plans to assist in setting up a schedule for ordering materials and maintaining an efficient inventory. Primary focus is assisting the planners to perform scheduling duties as necessary. Preparation of schedules for all material planning, production equipment, preparing daily WIP reports, Working with procurement and production personnel to ensure material are available and orders are processed and completed on time. Support the Planning department, working within and understanding the material planning, supply chain process, production process, plant procedures, equipment capabilities and flow of goods within the facility.

 

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of daily report on material availability, delivery schedule and production schedule.
  • Assisting planners to address BOM errors and to extend material masters.
  • Estimating material consumption for consumables and preparing Purchase request based on production plan.
  • Receive inputs from other departments to fix planning data in material masters.
  • Assisting planners to create production BOMs and routings.
  • Monitoring stock levels and ensure availability of shop floor consumables.
  • Review Bill of Materials, capacity build plan sheets, production schedules and make necessary changes to adopt production plan.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ Years of experience in material/production planning, inventory management, purchasing or related position.
  • High School Diploma, Fluent in English

 

Preferred Qualification

  • 4+ years of industry and regional related experience in planning assistant role using SAP as an operating system
  • Degree in business, production planning, Engineering, logistics, inventory management or related field
