Principal Engineer (Mechanical Engineering Group - Stuctural Department)

Work Schedule: 5 Days per Week

Role Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to perform advanced simulation analyses supporting concept studies, detailed designs, evaluations, and testing activities within the Mechanical Engineering environment. The successful candidate will leverage CAE tools and engineering expertise to evaluate performance, optimize designs, and provide technical leadership to engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct simulation analyses for concept development, detailed design, evaluation, and testing activities.
• Perform accurate engineering calculations using analytical methods and computational simulations.
• Interpret simulation results and recommend design improvements for optimal performance and reliability.
• Develop, organize, and maintain engineering arrangements, modifications, and revisions.
• Support the establishment, validation, and acceptance of testing processes.
• Evaluate mechanical equipment and systems against defined performance requirements.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to mechanical engineers and technical personnel.
• Drive engineering excellence and ensure delivery of assigned technical objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum experience:
  • 12+ years with a Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years with a Master’s degree
  • 9+ years with a PhD
• Preferably experienced in the aerospace, defense, or highly regulated engineering industries.
• Strong knowledge of Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) and its application in the product design process.
• Advanced skills in engineering analysis, computational simulation, mathematics, and Product Data Management (PDM).
• Strong understanding of defense product development and production processes.
• Excellent technical communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and perform effectively under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving, visual-spatial reasoning, and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring and developing engineering talent.
