As we continue to grow and take on new challenges, we are seeking a talented Flight Control Engineer to join our team.

 

Desired Experience and Qualifications.

 While the following qualifications are desirable, applicants do not need to possess all of them.

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing and deploying GNC algorithms on large-scale aerial platforms.
  • Proven ability to identify, model and simulate complex aerial systems.
  • Strong background in control analysis, design.
  • Proficiency in programming languages and tools such as Matlab/Simulink, C, C++ and python.
  • Proven ability to identify, model and simulate complex aerial systems. 
  • Familiarity with common system engineering process, specifically ARP4754. 
  • Preparation and support of flight test activities, analysis of flight test results.
  • Experience with Software in the loop (SILS) and Hardware in the loop (HILS) software validation.
  • Strong desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Target-oriented, work style with strong analytic problem-solving skills required.

 

Bonus points

  • Previous experience modelling, analysing and controlling rotary-wing aircrafts.
  • Experience implementing GNC Software utilizing Model-Based Design best practices.
  • Familiar with common flight control stability and performance requirement sources (Mill-STD-1797, ADS-33).
  • Familiarity with aircraft software and hardware certification process (DO-178C & DO-254,).
  • Experience with flight testing of highly control system dependent configurations of rotary-wing and fix-wing unmanned systems.
  • An Ultralight or PPL pilot license.
