Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and oversee the systems engineering process for projects, including requirements analysis, system architecture design, integration, verification, and validation.
- Manage system requirements throughout the product lifecycle, including elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, and verification, ensuring alignment with customer needs and regulatory standards.
- Define system architectures and interfaces for aerospace systems, including avionics systems, flight control systems, propulsion systems, and mission systems, ensuring compatibility, scalability, and modularity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, software engineers, and project managers, to integrate system components and subsystems into cohesive aerospace systems.
- Identify and mitigate technical and programmatic risks associated with systems, conducting risk assessments, developing risk mitigation plans, and implementing proactive measures to ensure project success.
- Develop and execute verification and validation plans and procedures for systems, including simulation, modeling, analysis, ground testing, and flight testing, to ensure compliance with performance and safety requirements
- Participate in System/Subsystem design, development, integration, and testing review
- Implement corrective actions, provide evidence and assess improvement
- Ensure compliance with aerospace regulations, standards, and certification requirements governing the design, development, and certification of systems
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. (Master's degree or Ph.D. preferred.)
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in systems engineering, with a focus on aerospace systems development, integration, and certification.
- In-depth knowledge of systems engineering principles, processes, and best practices, including requirements management, system architecture design, and verification and validation
- Experience with systems and subsystems, such as avionics systems, flight control systems, propulsion systems, and mission systems, and familiarity with relevant aerospace technologies and components.
- Proficiency in systems engineering tools and methodologies, such as requirements management tools, modeling and simulation tools
