Job Summary:
The Procurement Expeditor is responsible for ensuring that purchase orders are fulfilled on time, in full, and in compliance with contractual requirements. This role serves as a key liaison between suppliers, procurement, logistics, and internal stakeholders to track orders, resolve delays, and maintain smooth material flow. Key Accountabilities:
- Follow up with suppliers to confirm order status, production progress, and shipment schedules
- Expedite delayed or at-risk orders to meet project or operational timelines
- Communicate delivery updates, delays, and risks to procurement, planning, and project teams
- Verify supplier compliance with contract terms, specifications, and delivery requirements
- Coordinate with logistics, warehousing, and quality teams on shipping, inspections, and documentation
- Maintain accurate order status records in ERP or procurement systems
- Resolve issues related to shortages, late deliveries, damaged goods, or incorrect shipments
- Support supplier performance evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives
- Prepare expediting reports, KPIs, and status updates for management

Educational and Experience Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience in procurement, expediting, supply chain, or materials management
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and supplier management
- Proficiency in ERP systems (preferable SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, oil & gas, or engineering projects
- Knowledge of international shipping and Incoterms
- Familiarity with quality inspections and documentation requirements
- Professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is an advantage
