Role
The Production Assembler is responsible for the precise and methodical assembly of advanced turbine and propulsion systems, including microjet and turbofan engine components, in accordance with engineering specifications, production schedules, and quality requirements. This role is critical to ensuring that all assembled products meet stringent aerospace and industrial standards for safety, reliability, and performance.
The role also includes performing detailed alignments, calibrations, torque-controlled fastening, fine mechanical adjustments, and functional verifications throughout the assembly process. The Industrial Assembler plays a key role in ensuring tight tolerances are consistently achieved and that the finished assemblies meet design intent and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute assembly operations in line with the approved production schedule and daily manufacturing targets
- Perform precise mechanical and electronic assembly of turbine and propulsion system components following engineering drawings, technical work instructions, and assembly proceduresConduct fine alignment, fitment, fastening, and adjustment activities to meet defined tolerances and functional specifications
- Handle sensitive and delicate parts with appropriate care to prevent damage during assembly and movement
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections during and after assembly to ensure compliance with product specifications
- Implement high-quality assembly practices to maximise product yield and minimise rework or scrap
- Ensure full compliance with AS9100, ISO standards, and internal quality management procedures
- Support first-pass yield improvement through disciplined workmanship and proactive issue reporting
- Collaborate closely with production, quality, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve technical and process issues
- Record assembly data, inspection results, deviations, and non-conformance reports accurately in production systems
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work area in line with health, safety, and lean manufacturing principles
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma, technical certification, or equivalent hands-on industry experience in mechanical, electrical, electronic, or industrial assembly
- Proven experience in industrial, aerospace, manufacturing, or precision assembly environments
- Hands-on experience in electronic assembly and fine mechanical assembly processes
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards and electronic workmanship requirements
- Working knowledge of AS9100, ISO quality standards, and controlled manufacturing environments
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, assembly instructions, and engineering documentation
