ABOUT THE ROLE

The Production engineer II studies and defines how the products have to be manufactured on the production line, including optimization of processes, improvement of quality and reduction of cost / waste.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the industrialization process, including tooling, fixture design, and automation, to ensure smooth transition from prototype to mass production

Cooperate with the Design for Advanced Manufacturing (DFAM) function for New Products. Identify, communicate and manage the discrepancies between the engineering data pack and the manufacturing data pack

Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis to evaluate new manufacturing technologies and equipment

Participate in the Material Review Board (MRB). Effectively communicate production issues to the relevant departments

Coordinate and implement Engineering Changes on the shop floor

Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality

Drive objectives to achieve production KPI’s (Safety / Quality / Delivery / Cost)

Identify issues in efficiency and implement improvements

Stay well-informed of the latest trends and advancements in electronics manufacturing and production engineering

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience as a Production Engineer preferably in the Defence Sector
• Bachelor’s Engineering Degree, Fluent in English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in Electronics (PCBA) Manufacturing
• Master’s degree in Production Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
• IPC-A-610 &J-STD-001 trainer level certification preferred
• Working knowledge of MES systems, ERP integration and data analytics for process control.
