Key Accountabilities

• Develops and implements long-term strategies for program development and execution, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and market needs. 
• Lead complex engineering projects to develop and integrate state-of-the-art defense systems, focusing on interceptive technologies and multi-layered defense strategies.
• Conduct feasibility analysis for project requirement, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and market needs.
• Support the PMO Manager in the formulation and standardization of organizational-level project management and engineering development processes, methodologies, guidelines, and documentation templates to boost operational efficiency and ensure uniformity across projects.
• Allocates resources effectively across projects, ensuring optimal use of personnel and budget.
• Identifies, assesses, and mitigates risks throughout the program/ project lifecycle.
• Serve as the key technical liaison for teams across various disciplines, fostering integrated solutions for complex missile defense challenges.
• Provides technical guidance on the design, development, and operational criteria of missile defense systems, coordinating field / flight tests and simulations.
• Ensure the integrated components of missile defense architectures work cohesively to maintain system integrity and effectiveness.
• Develop a clear, actionable technical roadmap for missile defense programs, setting measurable milestones from conception to deployment.
• Generate comprehensive status reports and maintain meticulous records for stakeholders, detailing progress and strategic direction.
• Innovate continuously to enhance system parameters such as detection range, interception accuracy, and system resilience against electronic warfare tactics.
• Leads and mentors project managers and team members, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous learning, and development.

Knowledge/Qualification & Experience

• Minimum 15 years in aerospace and defense industry including technical project management / system engineering role for a large corporate, with demonstrated experience working within agile or hybrid development cycles.
• Specific experience in missile development programs such as tactical cruise missile and guided rockets. 
• Deep understanding of the technical aspects of defense systems, including design, development, and integration.
• Bachelor’s / Master’s in Engineering, or other technical fields.
• Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) or System Engineering (e.g., INCOSE CSEP) is preferable.
• Knowledge of key project management metrics with the ability to track progress and ensure project delivery within defined timelines and budgets.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to guide and motivate teams, make strategic decisions, and resolve complex problems.
